For six months, 52 life sized horses, decorated and designed by local artists, adorned the streets of "The Horse Capital of the World," Ocala, Florida. Co-sponsored by MCA and the Florida Thoroughbred Breeders & Owners' Association, Horse Fever showcased area talent while emphasizing Ocala's equine heritage.
Artists demonstrated their talent through a variety of media on life-sized "canvases," including acrylic paint, mosaic tile, electric lights, even brick and stone. Horses were displayed in convenient locations throughout the city.
Eagle Spirit (top) won the "Peoples Choice" award. Breakaway (lower) was sponsored by local business.
